With the whistleblower officially outed as Eric Ciaramella, everything Conservatives have been saying about the impeachment inquiry is proven true. And when John Ratcliffe asked the world's most obvious question in the impeachment trial, whether President Trump has actually done anything impeachable, and received silence from two key Democrat testifiers who have worked in government, we now have completely destroyed the whole quid pro quo argument. We already knew it was a sham, but now that has been proven.
So what to do now? Instead of arguing President Trump tried to establish a quid pro quo, the Democrats are changing their tune. Nancy Pelosi is now saying Trump was trying to bribe the Ukrainian President with military aid (which, btw, was still given to Ukraine despite not receiving the investigation).
We already knew impeachment was a sham, but now it has been provenHer argument? Reuters reports:
"The bribe is to grant or withhold military assistance in return for a public statement of a fake investigation into the elections."
But wait a minute. President Trump never once, in the entire transcript, said he would "withhold" anything from Ukraine. In fact, he didn't even ask Zelenskiy for a public statement about anything. And he certainly didn't ask for a "fake investigation." In fact he asked for the exact opposite:
"I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike. . . Whatever you can do, it's very important that you do it if that's possible."
Nothing in the entire transcript even promotes the whiff of a "fake investigation" or a "public statement." However, the smear machine keeps going. This is the fourth time now, for those of us keeping track, that the impeachment treasure hunt has changed directions. From Russian Collusion, to obstruction of justice, to a quid pro quo, and now bribery for a fake investigation over military aid that was already given WITHOUT said investigation.
President Trump never once, in the entire transcript, said he would "withhold" anything from Ukraine.It is becoming more and more apparent that this is nothing more than an attempt to impeach an innocent man. Every single claim and allegation the Left has brought against him has gone up in smoke. He didn't collude with Russia, he didn't obstruct justice, there was no quid pro quo, and there certainly isn't bribery.
Donald Trump should sue the Democrat Party for libel. He has the most airtight case there ever was. The national media practically served as his witness, in fact, they willfully engaged in it. They printed lie after lie about Russian collusion, obstruction of justice, and testimonies that were easily debunked by the transcript and President Zelenskiy's own statements.
