In the midst of an impeachment treasure hunt that has changed course four times and is currently based on a non-existent "quid pro quo" agreement, the Washington, D.C. news bureaus have been on-call waiting for the next juicy morsel in the impeachment show trials. But meanwhile, Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is being argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Many of these "arrivals," in fact, close to 80,000 of them, who have been accepted have arrest records, with the list of offenses including rape, murder, assault and battery, and drunk driving. To top it all off, close to 16,000 of these DACA approvals were arrested after approval.
Why on earth, you ask, is this Obama-era executive order still in effect when Obama is no longer in office? It's because, as L. Francis Cissna, the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services says:
"[T]he courts rule that we are unable to change this policy, even though those with criminal histories are getting through the system and permitted to remain in the country, despite having a high number of arrests for any types of crimes before or after receiving DACA protection.”
So, in other words, President Trump and his administration are forced to uphold a dangerous Obama-era policy because courts have issued nationwide injunctions forcing Trump and his administration to approve thousands of dangerous and reckless criminals the privilege of living in our country. And with George Soros behind the scenes working to recreate the American judicial system in his socialist image, things could only get worse.
Meanwhile, at the border, China is importing fentanyl into the U.S. through Mexico, and child and sex traffickers are exploiting loopholes in our immigration system and sneaking into the country en masse. And many who try to sneak into the country illegally do so with a child they aren't even related to so they can be released into the country to await a court date they don't even attend.
If anything, what the Democrats want on immigration and the liberal judges and justices they have in their back pockets have been fighting to uphold has not made this country safer. DACA should be immediately declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and Congress should work with Trump to build the wall and adequately fund Border Patrol to secure our borders and protect our children.
