Under a bill signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday, transgender student athletes in Texas would be prohibited from competing on K-12 school sports teams that do not correspond to their sexual identification.
House Bill 25, authored by state Rep. Valoree Swanson (R-Spring) and titled "relating to requiring public school students to compete in interscholastic athletic competitions based on biological sex," will require student athletes competing in interscholastic competitions to play on sports teams that correspond to the sex recorded on their original birth certificate.
The bill states:
Sec. 33.0834. INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC COMPETITION BASED ON BIOLOGICAL SEX. (a) Except as provided by Subsection
(b), an interscholastic athletic team sponsored or authorized by a school district or open-enrollment charter school may not allow a student to compete in an interscholastic athletic competition sponsored or authorized by the district or school that is designated for the biological sex opposite to the student's biological sex as correctly stated on:
(1) the student's official birth certificate, as described by Subsection (c); or
(2) if the student's official birth certificate described by Subdivision (1) is unobtainable, another government record.
According to the new Texas law, every athlete must compete as the sex specified on their birth certificate. Males would be unable to compete as women, and women would be unable to compete as men. Naturally, "transgender advocates" declared the law "discriminatory." Proponents of the bill, on the other hand, argued that "transgender" athletes are currently exploiting female athletes in Texas and the measure would help maintain the integrity of Texas sports.
State Representative Valoree Swanson said concerning the bill, “We have the opportunity today to stand up for our daughters, our granddaughters and all our Texas girls.”
The law reflects the University Interscholastic League's policy of not allowing so-called "transgender" athletes to participate at the collegiate level as a sex other than the one listed on their birth certificate. But t he University Interscholastic League departs from the new Texas law in one respect. If an athlete's birth certificate is changed to the opposite sex, they are permitted to compete as that sex. However, now, the original birth certificate, according to Texas law, defines whose sex an athlete competes with.

Men who ID as women (generally AFTER going through puberty) have denser bones, larger lungs, stronger muscle fibers. And those don't just go away by reducing TEST to levels comparable to an adult female. So when those cheaters... er, that is, women compete against natural women, they WIN! They break records REAL women fought long and hard to set through blood and sweat to attain!
