The most disgusting and appalling news to hit the country is the deaths of multiple black men who were found hanging from trees nationwide. You read that right. It's as if in 2020 we've transported back to the 1950s, where white men drive in their trucks trucks and follow and shoot at black men, black men are hanged from trees, and cops deem these hangings "suicide."
This appalling state of affairs is too despicable for words. People shouldn't be hanged for the color of their skin. Police shouldn't be beating the daylights out of people because of the color of their skin. And bigoted, angry cops shouldn't be seizing black people's assets over Civil Asset Forfeiture and planting drugs on them in the name of "protecting and serving" the community.
But this video, where a Chief of Police in California has a smirk on his face when he rules the death of a black man found HANGING IN A TREE a "suicide" even though they haven't finished the investigation is one of the sickest perversions of our justice system yet:
I don't know where you fall on police brutality, but this is painfully obvious evidence that something in our justice system is seriously afoul and needs to change.
