Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo spoke with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio today. Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Di Maio emphasized the strength of the U.S.-Italian relationship in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic. Secretary Pompeo praised the resolve and resilience the Italian people have demonstrated in this difficult time.
Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Di Maio also discussed the outstanding U.S.-Italy bilateral cooperation on a range of issues including the way forward in Libya.
